Chemical scenario in project EDEN field exercise

Between 30th June and 1st July 2016 in Training Center of the departmental Emergency Fire and Rescue service of Seine-et-Marne French department in Gurcy-le-Châtel were organized large-scale demonstration of EDEN project (End-user driven demo on CBRNe).

The demonstration was dedicated to prevention and reaction for chemical threats within Work Package 50 (WP50). Due to the fact that CIK in WP50 has supporting role so our representative was an observer and evaluator for this demonstration.

Exercise scenario was to react for chemical incidents such as bomb explosion in facility that process chemical toxic substances (TIC), tank and pipeline depressure and chemical bomb explosion in a passenger train. The goal of the exercise was to test modern technologies that are used in this kind of situations, available on European market and produced by companies such as Airbus Defence & Space, BAE Systems, Proengin, PIAP etc. Exercise was coordinated by French institution INERIS (L'Institut national de l'environnement industriel et des risques). In exercise participed representatives of the consortium EDEN, tool providers and invited end-users.
