Opening of operation room for Crisis Information Centre

During our ceremony we were visited by our colleagues from Earth Observation Group (ZOZ) and other teams. Ribbon cut was made by prof. Stanisław Lewiński – Head of ZOZ and Jakub Ryzenko – head of Crisis Information Centre. Next part of our meeting was conducted in newly opened room and accompanied by coffee and cookies. We had interesting conversations about our current and future projects. We were honoured by personal visit of SRC PAS Director prof. Marek Banaszkiewicz.

Crisis Information Centre operation room consist of four independent computer stations. This is where our geoinformatics process satellite images and make spatial analyses for our projects in the field of crisis management. In operation room there is also separate part where we can conduct meetings. At the big table discussions about projects as well as current and future matters take place. Work is easier thanks to one big touch-screen display and two supporting monitors.
