Crisis management exercise in Georgia

The simulation was attended by members of the team that leads the activities of municipality in crisis management. The expert-advisory tasks were realised by the representatives from central and regional institutions. During 6 hour simulation, participants were working in crisis headquarters and obtaining from organisers information about the course of the flood and other incidents. Members of the headquarters had to make decisions similar to those that they must make in real life flood. Tasks during the game were to: inform about the threat and evacuate civilians, ensure their safety and provide them shelter and food, discus necessary help from regional and central institutions, damage assessment, start the liquidation of flood overcomes and ensuring that people will get back home. Game was conducted with usage of flood hazard maps, table of competence and local response plans.
