Exercise of emergency services "Przeworsk Station"
The task of CIK CBK PAN as part of the exercise was to test the activation of the Mobile Center for Analyzing and Preparing Satellite Data (MCS) and to pilot training session on potential applications of MCS, including the presentation of the Drone Rapid Mapping solution (DRM) in operational mapping processes. As a part of the above activities, situational maps (including orthophotomaps) and a 3D model of the event site were developed for the purpose of situational analysis by the Provincial Crisis Management Team.
The exercise was carried out in separate stages: staff and operational, covering two independent events with the participation of rail transport. During the staff component, the information flow and coordination of activities between particular services in connection with the accident at the railway crossing in Przeworsk was tested. The scenario involved the collision of a freight train carrying ammonia substance with a bus. During the operational episode, actions were implemented using forces and resources at the scene. The scenario concerned the collision of a school bus with a passenger train at a railway crossing next to street: Za Parowazowanią in Przeworsk.
Representatives of: Podkarpackie Voivodship Office in Rzeszów, Provincial and Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service, Voivodship Police Headquarters, Ambulance Service Falck PRM, Regional Command of Rail Protection, Regional Podkarpackie Branch of Polish Red Cross, Carriers and Railway Companies, as well as government and self-government authorities from Podkarpackie region participated in the exercise.
