Science Picnic 2017
The Space Research Centre of Polish Academy of Science took part in the Science Picnic of organized by Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre.
The stands of the SRC PAS were situated in the tent of GeoPlanet - Earth and Planetary Research Centre. GeoPlanet integrates 5 different PAS institutes focusing their activities on research on the Earth and planets. This year the team from the Earth Observation Group and CIK prepared satellite quiz and fruit Solar System. Both attractions were very popular among participants of the Science Picnic.
Moreover, researchers from the Geodynamic Observatory in Książ talked about their measurements. They presented models of geophysical devices which are in their Observatory, that are used to observe tectonic movements.
